This candle has notes of Dark Water.
The Kelpie comes primarily from Scottish Folklore. It is said to be a shape shifting spirit than inhabits the lochs, meres and streams. The tales of these shape shifting water horses have been recorded as being seen all over Scotland, Ireland, Wales and all across the British Isles.
The most common place to have a sighting reported of a Kelpie however is at the infamous Loch Ness!
People would tell their children to beware of the Kelpie when playing near water. It is said to look like an abnormally large horse, whose beauty is irresistible. Those who see the kelpie feel compelled to go try to pet or ride it. When you get close however you see their beautiful mane transform into slithering water snakes and seaweed, mud and algae appear on their coat and if you have already made the mistake of touching a Kelpie your hands will be glued there and impossible to be freed.
After the kelpie has trapped you they will wade back into the water where you will meet your watery demise.
Legend says however if you are able to put a bridle on a kelpie, the kelpie will be bound to you, and you will have the benefits of its strength and beauty. Any race, battle or competition you are in you will win by a long shot. But if that kelpie ever escapes that bridle you and your family will be cursed and meet a fate worse than death.
So what say you? Would you try to approach the beautiful water horse?
