I'm Kye—wife, mom, bridal industry professional by day, and candle maker by night. Flames Of Folklore was born during our first brutal Minnesota winter after moving from Southern California.

Watching endless snow fall through our windows, I wondered how people survived the long, dark months before us. The answer? Stories told by firelight. As a practicing witch of 10 years with a deep love for folklore, I began imagining the origins of old tales—how a strange sound (snow sliding off our roof!) might have sparked legends in centuries past.

Most of my ideas come from daydreaming at the windows of our 100-year-old ivy-covered cottage, watching the seasons change. I wanted to bring those old stories back—to create candles that help us hold onto light through the darkness.
